BUSINESS AND FINANCIAL

AMERICAN BANKERS ASSOCIATION: Producing, directing 30 second commercial lobbying against Federal Credit Union legislation. Commercial appeared on CNN.

ERNST & YOUNG: Wrote, produced and directed a five part training tape, Tons of Fun, to be used at a conference called "Financial Statements in the Courtroom." It uses humor and drama to educate the judiciary on what financial statements are and what an independent audit is. The client reported that judges said it was "the best video that they had seen used in an educational program." It recently won a Classic Telly Award.

PAINEWEBBER: Producing, writing, and directing two videotapes on the Master Fund, a new reverse load mutual fund. One tape was for brokers and clients describing overall product. The other was for computer terminal operators teaching them the program for recording sales and retrieving information.

AMERICAN BANKERS ASSOCIATION: Writing, producing, directing four hour program for bankers on how to avoid problems filling out the quarterly FFIEC Call Report. Project involved editing of fully scripted, detailed comments from experts at the FDIC on virtually every line item in report.

AMERICAN BANKERS ASSOCIATION: Scripting, producing, and directing two-and-a-half hours of videotape material on bank card fraud for five site nationwide audio conference. Broadcast quality production featured Peter Hackes of NBC as host and narrator. Segments used documentary and interview formats. Entire effort from research to final master was accomplished in eight weeks.

WORLD BANK: Consulting on video presentation designed to teach about evaluating foreign loans via computer programs.

BANK OF AMERICA (through Harless Performance Guild): Writing 20-minute video script on vari-rate mortgages.

FEDERAL HOME LOAN BANK BOARD: Consultation on training design for course and scripting of 18 video modules for a video-based training course on savings and loan EDP center examinations.

U.S. CENSUS BUREAU: Consulting on nearly two-hundred training videotapes designed to train temporary personnel to process the 1980 census. Project included managing a team of writers and directing sixteen of the modules.

FEDERAL HOME LOAN MORTGAGE CORPORATION: Producing, writing and directing orientation videotape. Presentation traced the history of Freddie Mac and explained its position. Consultation on design and development, format, structure of courses, tapes and associated press pieces.

U.S. BUREAU OF THE CENSUS: Writing and producing videotape on the Economic Censuses. Employing digital effects, the program is designed to be shown to the general public.

MUTUAL LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY OF NEW YORK (MONY): Consultation, training design, writing, scripting of course on Affirmative Action/Equal Employment Opportunity for administrative officers and supervisors.



COMPUTERS AND ELECTRONICS

WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC: Two scripts on how radar works designed to teach newly hired engineers who have just graduated from college with a degree in electrical engineering. The scripts cover Pulse Ranging Techniques and Pulse Compression Techniques.

WESTINGHOUSE CORPORATION: Script on the Advanced Interconnection Technology Laboratory. The script features discussion of VLSI (VHSIC) semiconductor techniques.

XEROX CORPORATION: Writing training workbook on new CADD program designed to record and track telephone cable and poles for Bell Atlantic.

DEWBERRY & DAVIS: Producing, directing, and writing videotape on use of computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) in mapping and facilities management of U.S. Army forts in the Training and Doctrine Command.

G.P. TAURIO, INC.: Consultation on design and writing of five videodisc scripts on electronic test instruments. Final product filled two interactive, 30 minute videodiscs for marketing to industrial and military clients.

AT&T INFORMATION SYSTEMS: Writing, producing and directing six videotape modules on the "System 75" phone system.

NATIONAL LIBRARY OF MEDICINE: Scripting videotape on the use of the INTERNIST-1 artificial intelligence computer program for the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC: Scripting two videotapes on long range communications via a specially designed tethered aerostat balloon.

NATIONAL INSTITUTES OF HEALTH (NIH): Scripting, producing, and directing videotape introduction to training course on DELPRO (delegated procurement). Project committee included Cancer Institute, procurement, data processing, finance, and training personnel.

DEPARTMENT OF THE ARMY: Scripting of 6 video modules for video-based training course on automated data processing (ADP) security. Scripts were integrated with training guide and technical manual.

XEROX CORPORATION: Script for teleconference training course on computer architecture.

BELL ATLANTIC: Copy for brochure on InterLATA services offered through Bell Atlantic's Public Data Network (PDN).



SALES, MARKETING, AND CUSTOMER RELATIONS

GTE TELENET: Producing and directing high production quality videotape on the GTE TeleCARD system for use as a marketing tool by GTE sales force.

AMERICAN BANKERS ASSOCIATION: Writing, producing, directing five part tape designed to accompany seminar for bank employees on Older Bank Customers. Modules included a wide variety of video techniques from subjective camera to digital effects to documentary. Tapes were developed in cooperation with the AARP.

OCE-BUSINESS SYSTEMS: Writing, producing, and directing four part training tape for photocopier service technicians. Involving several two-room sets and twelve actors, the program covered the history and philosophy of the company as well as customer relations techniques.

NATIONAL MINORITY PURCHASING COUNCIL, INC.: Writing, directing and producing 12 dramatized videotape modules and a 13th promotional tape for a program designed to help minority business people sell their products and services to Fortune 500 firms. Also, writing, directing and producing half-hour videotape designed to encourage minority purchasing.

CHESAPEAKE DIRECTORY SALES COMPANY: Scriptwriting for video program designed to train yellow pages sales staff in techniques for increasing quality of existing customer's display ads. Program won local ITVA award.

THE BULLIS SCHOOL: Writing, producing promotional tape on Bullis School, a college preparatory school in Potomac, MD. The tape took a year to produce and included student-shot footage supervised by the producer. This program was later altered to create a second program targeted at volunteers and potential givers to a capital campaign for a new gymnasium.

INSTITUTE OF TRANSPORTATION ENGINEERS: Writing, producing a motivational documentary on Transportation Engineering as a career. It portrays recent graduate engineers working in private industry, government and academic settings.

AMERICAN BANKERS ASSOCIATION: Producing and directing an audio tape to accompany a training propram designed to teach telephone etiquette.



GOVERNMENT AGENCIES

UNITED STATES INFORMATION AGENCY (USIA): Writing videotape script on the Department of Defense Pacific Command and its partnership with Pacific rim nations. Program is for use in training and briefing sessions as well as on the USIA's WORLDNET.

DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE (IMMIGRATION & NATURALIZATION): Writing 20 minute videotape script on new computer program, AFACS, designed to track alien files. Program combines dramatic segments with computer terminal demonstrations.

DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT: Script for videotape on proper approach to filling out SF-171 form. Also, writing treatment, script, instructor and student workbooks for course on Standards of Conduct.

DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY: Scripts on how to use new communications equipment designed for use by the Marines in the field: the Digital Communications Terminal (DCT) and the Lightweight Digital Facsimile device. Scripts include both dramatic and narrative techniques.

CITY OF TAMPA, DEPARTMENT OF SANITATION: Scripting and producing three videotapes on: preventive maintenance, safety in operation of sideloaders and safety in operation of rearloaders.

NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION: Scripting videotape on occupational safety and health.

GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION (GSA): Scripting of videotape orientation package incorporating all offices and services of the organization.

SMITHSONIAN INSTITUTION: Writing a multi-image sound/slide presentation on Anna T. Cooper, noted black female educator.

DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE: Scripting and designing motivational videotape (interactive) for Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service.

DEPARTMENT OF LABOR (EMPLOYMENT TRAINING ADMINISTRATION): Writing, producing five dramatized hearings designed to demonstrate proper and improper practices for state unemployment administration hearing examiners.

OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET: Designing, writing and helping to produce a videotape explaining a public law intended to expedite and simplify the government procurement process.

DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE: Scripting of videotape overview of National Health Information Management System (NAHMS) for Veterinary Medical Officers employed by states and the Department's Veterinary Service.



HEALTHCARE

WALTER REED ARMY MEDICAL CENTER: Wrote, produced, directed “outcomes Management - The New Generation of Health Care.” The program was designed for patient groups, providers, the AMEDD leadership, Congressional staff, and TRICARE conference attendees. It was distributed on videotape, CD and shown on the WRAMC website.

WALTER REED ARMY MEDICAL CENTER: Produced and directed "Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow," a history of the Center. It is shown to visiting dignitaries from around the world.

DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY: Scripting training videotape, "Navy Blood Program." The tape covers freezing red blood cells by the Robert Valeri method, deglycerolization, freezing of platelets, and rejuvenation of red blood cells.

DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY: Scripting "Becoming Doc," a film portraying duties of Navy medical corpsmen with the Marines. This fully dramatic script intertwines the stories of two different corpsmen as they learn their jobs and become accepted by their peers.

DEFENSE AUDIOVISUAL AGENCY: Scripting Navy film, "Introduction to Field Medical Service". Film incorporates both dramatic and documentary segments.

DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY: Script for a film for the Marine Corps on how to disinfect drinking water in the field.

ARTHUR YOUNG COMPANY: Writing and producing an eight part tape for a training seminar on Arthur Young's auditing and consulting services to the health care industry. Tape includes documentary and dramatic segments.

DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY: Scripting two films on the subjects of Gas Dysbarism and Flash Blindness for Navy flight training.

DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY: Script for film on Medevacing patients from a submarine. This script was fully dramatic.

DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY: Script for film on handwashing kitchen utensils on board ship.

DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY: Script on the Navy Occupational Health Information Management System, a combined database interlinked with computer terminals around the continental U.S.

DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY: Script on the shipboard effects of nuclear explosions at sea and how injury may be prevented.

DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY: Script on prevention, control, and surveillance techniques for Dengue & Yellow Fever. Approach included historical footage as well as staged situations with marines and seabees in the jungle and disaster sites.



INDUSTRY

GEFEN PRODUCTIONS: Writing commercials for North Carolina’s International Home Furnishings Market television program.

LOCKHEED-MARTIN: Produced revised version of PrePass videotape. The tape is used to market and promote Lockheed’s (now ACS’) system for weighing trucks as they pass by a weighing station.

INTERNATIONAL ROAD FEDERATION: Producing, directing 16 videotapes on road repair techniques for use by third world countries. Programs are being distributed in three languages.

INSTITUTE OF TRANSPORTATION ENGINEERS: Writing, producing documentary on traffic congestion across the nation...the problems and the solutions.

FAIRFAX COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: Scripting, producing two documentaries: "Roads...The Number One Issue" and "Metro." "Roads" program was named the Grand Award winner in the 1985 Communications Evaluation Program sponsored by the Communications Council of the American Chamber of Commerce Executives.

ARTHUR YOUNG (now Ernst & Young): Producing and directing videotape on the adult learning process. Containing documentary and dramatic segments, the tape is designed to be shown prior to an adult business seminar.

CHESSIE SYSTEM (now CSX Corp.): Writing two video scripts, "The Job of the Trackman" and "An Introduction to the Engineering Department."

NATIONAL CONCRETE MANUFACTURERS ASSOCIATION: Scripting, producing videotape on roofcap pavers.

FOOD MARKETING INSTITUTE: Four scripts on food sampling techniques and training of samplers to work in grocery stores.

INTERNATIONAL ROAD FEDERATION: Scripting and producing seven videotapes on road building and repair equipment: motorgraders, front-end loaders, and rollers.

INTERNATIONAL ROAD FEDERATION: Scripting and producing 40 videotapes over three year period on worldwide highway signing systems, sign placement, maintenance management systems, pavement management systems, contract maintenance, and more.

INSTITUTE OF TRANSPORTATION ENGINEERS: Writing, producing documentary on Travel Demand Management (TDM) a part of the solution to traffic congestion and air pollution.

AMERICAN TRUCKING ASSOCIATIONS: Scripting and consultation on production of a videotape teaching about the new Anti-Lock Braking systems (ABS) on trucks. This program won a Telly Award.
